François-Xavier graduated from AgroParisTech in agro-economics and agricultural development. Then he started his career with the French NGO Initiative Développement during four years on Improved Cookstove topics, mainly in Africa (Comoros, Chad, Republic of Congo) in charge first of technical feasibility studies and then in direct management of an ICS dissemination project. Following this experience, he joined the French Development Agency (AFD) for two years in Ghana, focusing on agricultural and finance projects. He is now GERES Myanmar Country Representative and SCALE Project Manager since November 2016.
Thet Khine Win is SCALE Associate Project Manager and coordinates field activities. In 2008, when Nargis Cyclone devastated part of Myanmar, he decided to work for the reconstruction of the country. He then pursued his career in the management of humanitarian programs. He loves travelling and takes amazing pictures!
Aung Kyin has always been working at academic and governmental positions and has extensive knowledge of forestry issues in Myanmar. He was a University Professor of Forest Sciences before becoming Rector at the Forestry University of Nay Pyi Daw. He then worked for 10 years as an Academic Advisor for the Government. He is now a key resource for SCALE project by coordinating relations with Myanmar governmental bodies.
Hla Myo Nyein has spent her entire career in finance and accounting positions for the Government, private companies and International NGOs. She worked for GRET as Country Finance Manager and for Action Contre la Faim (ACF) as Financial Controller. She is now in charge of finance and accounting for SCALE project and she supports the field team in their financial work.
May Mar Lwin is the Admin & Logistics Manager of SCALE project. She joined the project in 2015 to supervise the administrative, HR and logistics operations. She has been working for NGOs for 10 years in administrative positions. She worked with Malteser International, International HIV/AIDS Alliance, Swiss Tropical and Public Health Institute. She enjoys spending time with her family and travelling.
Yin Yin Aung is SCALE Marketing Manager. Before joining GERES, she worked for World Vision for one year and a half. She is well experienced in awareness raising and promotion activities in Improved Cook Stoves programmes. She also has a lot of experience as a translator and trainer in regions hit by flood.
Nyi Linn Htet holds a Master’s degree of engineer specialized in energy. After working as Assistant Manager of Social and Environmental Affairs at Adidas and as Peer Educator at Youth Development Program, he joined SCALE project to manage the technical activities regarding cookstoves. He loves playing soccer and badminton and is a very good dancer!
Aung Zin Oo joined SCALE project in 2014 as Community Facilitator. He is in charge of coordinating the activities in the Dry Zone. He is passionate about his development work. He has a 20-year experience with NGOs, in emergency, agriculture, livestock and water and sanitation programs. Before joining GERES, he was a Township Manager for the World Food Program.
Graduated in Social Work and Research Studies, Aye Aye Nyo just joined the team as Community Facilitator in Pathein. She is in charge of coordinating the activities in the Delta region. She has almost 20 years of experience working with the Department of Social Welfare of the Myanmar government, with the Myanmar Marketing Research Development Company and with NGOs. She worked in child protection, WASH, humanitarian response and education programmes.
After graduating in Accounting & Management, Thet Hnin Aye worked for Mercy Corps and International HIV/AIDS Alliance organization before joining GERES in 2015. Passionate about her work, she is now working hard to pass additional accounting certifications. During her spare time, she enjoys listening to music and travelling around the country.
Aye Chan Moe first joined the SCALE team as quality control Technician in Pathein where she built strong relationships with stoves producers. She is now using this experience as SCALE Marketing Officer by organizing Pathein stoves promotion activities. You will always hear her singing during the day!
Marion comes from France and she is passionate about Myanmar and women empowerment. She has a previous experience in Yangon working with YWCA in a project supporting women entrepreneurs. She joined GERES in 2017 to work on communication and marketing activities.
Kyaw Htin Zaw joined SCALE team in 2015 as quality control technician in Meikhtila. Since 2017, he is in charge of the promotion activities for ICS A1 stoves. He is using his sound knowledge of stoves production for marketing and promotion activities. He enjoys listening to music, gardening and travelling around Myanmar.
Kay Thi Win just joined the team as Promotion Agent to support marketing and promotion activities in Monywa. She is passionate about development and well experienced in communities’ mobilization. She has more than 20 years of experience in the development sector involving in organizations such as World Vision and UNDP, most recently as Community Facilitator in a community development organization.
Graduated in engineering specialized in energy, Thaw Thaw Phyu Htoon just joined the team to support technical activities. Before that, she was a consultant in Renewable Energy for Pact Myanmar and she also worked as an Assistant Engineer at United Engineering. She loves reading and travelling and she is a very good photograph!
Aung Naing Oo joined SCALE team in 2017 as driver and logistician. He started his career working for a Myanmar tourism agency. After training in humanitarian logistics and management, he joined Médecins du Monde as driver and logistician. He worked there for 12 years. He is a real football passionate!
Aung Ko Ko has been working for SCALE as monitoring technician since 2015. He has been working for development programs for more than 20 years, and has extensive experience working for UNDP. He is passionate about stoves production and is a Dry Zone expert in stove production. He also enjoys playing sport.
Nyunt Kyaing joined SCALE project in 2016 as a Monitoring Technician in Meikhtila. He has been working for NGOs since 1998. He worked for CARE Myanmar during the Narguis Cyclone and then for the Gender and Development Institute as a Peace Programme Officer. He is a very curious person and he loves reading during his free time.
Myat Lay Nwe is a Monitoring Technician, based in Monywa. She is following and reporting production and sales rates of the Monywa producers. She has been working for NGOs since 2008, mostly in Health programmes. She worked for Solidarités as Hygiene Promotion Agent and for Mary Stopes as a nurse. She is very good at sewing!
Lin Lin Myat has been working as a quality control technician in Mektila for more than 2 years. She is in charge of controlling the quality of the stoves produced by Meikhtila producers. She is known for being very good with numbers. She is also always ready for a shopping session!
Khin Myo Thu joined the Dry Zone team as quality control technician in 2017. Passionate about development, she started working in the development sector in 2009 and worked for World Vision and Save the Children as community development facilitator. She is from the beautiful city of Bagan and loves reading.
Win Naing joined the Dry Zone team as quality control technician. He spent all his career as an NGO worker in the Dry Zone, working for community based organizations, Mary Stopes or Solidarités. He is really interested in agricultural issues and spends his free time gardening.
U Aung Soe Moe is a Monitoring Technician in Pathein. Native from Pathein region, he has worked there for more than 10 years for a health organization. He has also been volunteering for Pathein Red Cross since 1979. He enjoys reading, writing and rowing.
Ei Ei Khaing just joined the Pathein team as quality control technician. Previously, she was working as a Program Officer at ActionAid for the Socio Economic Development Network Project, a women economic empowerment project. She also worked for a UNICEF children protection project for a few years. She enjoys reading during her spare time.
