Bernardo joined GERES in 2018 as Myanmar Country Representative and CoopWE Project Manager. Passionate about entrepreneurship in developing countries, he has worked in Côte d’Ivoire and France in business training programs for micro-entrepreneurs for IECD. He later worked in Honduras in fundraising and child protection topics. He holds one degree in Chemical Engineering and another in Sustainable Development. Bernardo loves football, endlessly debating with his childhood friends and Portuguese food.
After graduating in Accounting & Management, Thet Hnin Aye worked for Mercy Corps and International HIV/AIDS Alliance organization before joining GERES in 2015. Passionate about her work, she is now working hard to pass additional accounting certifications. During her spare time, she enjoys listening to music and travelling around the country.
After working as Community Facilitator in Pathein for SCALE project, Aye Aye Nyo is now CoopWE project Coordinator. Graduated in Social Work and Research Studies, she has almost 20 years of experience working with the Department of Social Welfare of the Myanmar government, with the Myanmar Marketing Research Development Company and with NGOs. She worked in child protection, WASH, humanitarian response and education programmes.
Nyunt Kyaing joined SCALE project in 2016 as a Monitoring Technician in Meikhtila. He is now working as Business Development Specialist for CoopWE project. He has been working for NGOs since 1998. He worked for CARE Myanmar during the Narguis Cyclone and then for the Gender and Development Institute as a Peace Programme Officer. He is a very curious person and he loves reading during his free time.
Aung Naing Oo joined GERES in 2017 as driver and logistician. He started his career working for a Myanmar tourism agency. After training in humanitarian logistics and management, he joined Médecins du Monde as driver and logistician. He worked there for 12 years. He is a real football passionate!
Kay Thi Win joined GERES as Promotion Agent for SCALE project. She is now working as cashier for the CoopWE project. She is passionate about development and well experienced in communities’ mobilization. She has more than 20 years of experience in the development sector involving in organizations such as World Vision and UNDP, most recently as Community Facilitator in a community development organization.
Aung Ko Ko worked for SCALE as monitoring technician since 2015. He is now working as driver/logistician for CoopWE project. He has been working for development programs for more than 20 years, and has extensive experience working for UNDP. He is passionate about stoves production. He also enjoys playing sport.
Myat Lay Nwe is now Field Officer M&E for CoopWE project. She worked before as Monitoring Technician for SCALE project. She has been working for NGOs since 2008, mostly in Health programmes. She worked for Solidarités as Hygiene Promotion Agent and for Mary Stopes as a nurse. She is very good at sewing!
